So whether your aim is to build a solid muscular frame, increase muscle tissue for performance or simply to improve your physique, your answers and understanding lie in this section.
Lift weights, drink protein shakes and you’ll get muscles…. Is it really that simple?
Of course it’s not. Whether your new to the world of fitness or heavily into weight training please listen in, there is a lot of important information in this section designed to assist anyone involving themselves in the world of health, sport or fitness to fast track to the next level.
Obviously there is a big difference in training programs for someone starting out on the quest to develop muscle tissue to the more advanced athletes amongst us. But although you may not think it, there are not huge biological differences between each human body. Granted human body’s come in all shapes and sizes, some body’s respond better than others at particular movements, activities and sports, and yes genetics do dictate how many muscle fibres we are born with and that can not be altered. But most things are in fact very similar, and by a solid consistent training plan and a positive eating strategy you will respond by creating a positive environment for muscle hypertrophy to occur.
Firstly, it is important to understand HOW to create a positive environment in the body to effectively build muscle. This positive environment in which the body is in as positive state of muscle building is referred to as an ANABOLIC state. A state in which the body is using or “eating” your own muscle tissue for fuel, is called a CATABOLIC state.
So with the above mentioned, creating an anabolic state is a vital factor for tissue development. More importantly, is avoiding becoming catabolic. If your defence against muscle loss is bulletproof, progress will occur.
- If a football team never concedes a goal in an entire season and scores, even if occasionally, that team will have a successful season.
We must think of our progress in developing tissue in a similar way.
